Our hobbies, well let's start with my hobbies as Yoko will tell you about her hobbies as soon as she'll get back!

I love cars and not just any car, no, Rover or MG cars, why? Don't ask, I don't know, I think that those cars are simply "in a league of their own"! My first car was a Rover 416 SLi from 1998, it was a lovely car, but when Ran was born I decided to trade it in for a "much" safer car, yes a Volvo. I loved the Volvo, no mistake about that, but when I wanted to trade it in for yet another Volvo we were declined several times for the Volvo credit card (from Nicos) and we decided never to buy a Volvo again. The next car was a Toyota Wish. Again I loved the car for as long as it lasted, but as it was a popular car throughout Japan, wherever you went you saw your own car.... For Yoko I bought a small car as well, I bought a Rover 114 GSi, a car without power steering. I still remember the day I came home from Shizuoka and I told Yoko to take it for a test drive. After the test drive she told me "I now know that you didn't buy this car for me!", it steered that heavy! Now, after owning the car for almost 2 years we had our ups and downs, but it's still a very good car! I even think Yoko likes it a lot (when it has winter tires!)! When we just got it everything was vibrating badly when you started driving and it was a very noisy car, but together with my father I changed the left-hand engine mounting and it became a quiet, nippy little car! After we changed it we asked Yoko to come out and start the car. She started it and it fired up though Yoko thought it didn't start as she couldn't hear the engine, so she turned the key again.... It changed that much! I've changed quite a few things on it, added some stuff and even had it repainted! See the pictures below!

As you can see our little Rover 114 even has it's own number plate!

These pictures were taken on January 1st, it was freezing cold, but I was crazy enough to give the car a thorough cleaning! And as you can also see, the Rover 114 is not 114 anymore, it's called Metro now, as it was called in England! Next week or so the little guy will get company from a big brother as I have bought yet another car, a Rover 416 SLi Tourer (station wagon). As soon as I get the car I'll post pictures!
Bought myself a pump to be able to adjust the ride hight myself.
車高調整は自分できるようになりました(ポンプを買いました)。兵庫県三田市(又は近辺)の方だと3000円で車高調整ができます!

Well as promised above and as stated in the blog, here are some pictures of my new Rover. Yoko likes the color, handling (yes she drove today) as it has powersteering and the fact that it's quiet! She doesn't like the shape very much though.... Anyway, here's my new "baby":

A 3rd car has been added to our collection. Yet again a Rover. This time a 216SLi. This car I bought on an internet auction site for JPY 15.000 (about 100 Euro's). The small metro we still have, but we have ended it's registration so we cannot drive it anymore. It has been cleaned and now covered up. The new car has had an "update" and now Yoko uses it almost every day to get to her work. Will try to make some pictures soon!
